Privacy Policy
How information is handled when you visit Sunshower’s website or arrange a conversation.
Effective date: 2026-09-29
Scope
This policy describes how Sunshower Technologies Ltd., based in Ontario, Canada (“Sunshower”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with this website and business inquiries. It does not replace privacy or data-processing terms agreed for a client project.
Information we receive
If you arrange a meeting or contact us, we receive information you provide, such as your name, business contact details, organization, meeting preferences and the information you choose to share about your inquiry. Please limit initial inquiries to what we need to understand your request; do not send passwords or sensitive client, employee or customer records.
Hosting and network providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, request times, requested pages, browser information and security events. This website does not offer user accounts, accept payments or provide a file-upload facility.
Why we use information
We use inquiry and scheduling information to respond, arrange and manage meetings, understand the services you are seeking, and maintain relevant business communications. Technical information is used to operate the site, diagnose problems and help prevent misuse. We may also use or retain information where required to meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute.
Booking a meeting does not by itself subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. If we introduce an additional purpose requiring consent, we will explain it and request the appropriate consent.
Booking through Calendly
“Choose a time” opens our scheduling page on Calendly. Information entered there is processed by Calendly and made available to Sunshower to manage your appointment. Calendly may also process information for its own purposes described in its Privacy Notice. Its cookies and privacy settings apply on its site.
The Sunshower website currently links to Calendly rather than loading an embedded calendar. A booking may also generate calendar invitations or notifications through the services connected to our scheduling account.
Cookies and analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits, page views, referral sources and website performance. Its measurement script does not use cookies or browser storage to track visitors across visits or websites. Cloudflare receives connection information when processing requests; it states that the analytics service discards IP addresses at its nearest data centre rather than storing them in its core analytics databases or logs. See Cloudflare’s analytics privacy information.
Our current configuration excludes visitors from the European Union from this analytics measurement. Reports do not identify individual visitors or confirm completed bookings. The site does not use Google Analytics or advertising pixels. Hosting and security services may separately process request information to deliver and protect the site.
External services, including Calendly, have their own cookie practices. If we introduce additional tracking, we will update this notice and provide any choices required by applicable law.
Service providers and disclosure
We use providers for website hosting, scheduling and business communications. They may handle information needed to provide those services. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or permitted, including to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. We do not sell personal information collected through website inquiries.
The website host is AWS in Montreal, Canada. Scheduling, communications and provider support may involve processing outside your province or Canada, where information may be subject to local laws and lawful access requests. Website hosting in Canada does not mean all related information stays in Canada.
Retention and safeguards
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including relevant legal, recordkeeping and dispute-resolution requirements. Retention depends on the type of information and the relationship; backups and providers’ records may follow separate deletion cycles.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information and the risks, including limiting access to people who need it for their work. No website, transmission method or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, raise a privacy concern, or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. We may need to verify your identity. Legal exceptions or retention obligations may limit what we can delete or disclose; we will explain applicable restrictions. Withdrawing information needed to arrange a meeting may prevent us from providing that service.
Privacy contact
For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or concerns about how your information is handled, contact Sunshower Technologies Ltd., Ontario, Canada, at [email protected]. Please indicate that your message concerns privacy so it can be directed appropriately. You may also contact the privacy regulator with jurisdiction over your concern.
Updates
We will post changes on this page and identify the effective date. Material changes to how we use information will be communicated, and consent obtained, where required.
